Now offered for sale on Bring a Trailer, this extensively reengineered 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe blends iconic mid-century styling with contemporary performance hardware. Acquired by its current owner in 2020, the car has since undergone a comprehensive transformation, including a sought-after 1963-style split-window conversion, the installation of an SRIII tube-frame chassis, and a BluePrint 427ci LS crate engine paired with a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission.
Completed in 2024, the exterior was refinished in Midnight Blue Metallic and enhanced with several modern upgrades while preserving its vintage character. The fiberglass body incorporates a 1963-inspired hood, Kindi-It recessed door handles, keyless entry, Detroit Speed electric flip-up headlights, and LED lighting for the taillights, parking lamps, and license plate illumination. Completing the aggressive stance are staggered Schott Challenger eXL wheels measuring 18 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Beneath the bodywork, the Corvette rides on an SRIII tubular chassis featuring C7 Corvette-spec independent suspension at both ends, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes, delivering significantly improved handling and braking performance compared to the original platform.
The custom interior has been retrimmed in Ferrari Rosso leather, with aftermarket bucket seats, matching door panels, and coordinated carpeting creating a striking contrast to the dark exterior. Additional upgrades include polished cargo runners, an SKX short-throw shifter, Vintage Air climate control, a Custom Autosound stereo with Kenwood speakers, power windows, a custom center console, and period-inspired AutoMeter gauges. The digital odometer displays approximately 1,300 miles since the completion of the build, while the vehicle’s total mileage remains unknown.
Power comes from a BluePrint LS 427 V8 that features a cast-iron block with LS3-style aluminum cylinder heads, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, a fabricated Holley intake manifold, retro-inspired coil covers, exhaust headers, a custom intake system, and upgraded accessory components. Dyno testing recorded an impressive 638 horsepower and 606 lb-ft of torque.
That output is transmitted to the rear wheels through a Dynotech driveshaft and Tremec TKX five-speed gearbox, complemented by an SST Advanced billet steel flywheel, dual-disc clutch, Super Duty 621 bellhousing, Flowmaster exhaust, and an upgraded fuel tank, creating a restomod that seamlessly combines classic Corvette styling with modern supercar-level performance.
