One of the rarest modern Callaway Corvettes has surfaced on Bring a Trailer: the very first production example of the 2022 Callaway B2K 35th Anniversary Edition. Created to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Callaway’s legendary 1987 twin-turbo B2K Corvette, the special package was limited to just 35 units and developed in collaboration with General Motors as Regular Production Option (RPO) PCY.
Unlike traditional Callaway performance upgrades, the commemorative B2K package emphasized lightweight engineering, aerodynamic refinement, and exclusive styling rather than additional factory power. Priced at $34,960 beyond the cost of a Z51-equipped C8 Corvette Stingray, it introduced a carbon-fiber aerodynamic package featuring a front splitter, rocker extensions, rear spoiler, and diffuser.
A signature Callaway “Double-D” center-exit exhaust reduced weight by approximately 40 pounds behind the rear axle, while forged nine-spoke aluminum wheels trimmed another 26 pounds of unsprung mass. The package was completed with serialized interior trim, billet aluminum pedals, anniversary floor mats, distinctive badging, and commemorative rear glass etching.
This particular convertible goes far beyond the standard anniversary specification. Finished in Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat, it received approximately $92,000 in additional Callaway enhancements, highlighted by a supercharger system that raises the mid-mounted 6.2-liter LT2 V8’s output to a claimed 687 horsepower and 643 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with Chevrolet’s Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, while the signature Double-D exhaust remains part of the package.
The exterior is further enhanced with a Callaway wide-body conversion, body-color fender flares, extensive carbon-fiber trim, and Matte Bronze 20- and 21-inch forged O.Z. Racing wheels wrapped in Michelin performance tires. Factory Z51 hardware remains intact, including Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Brembo performance brakes, and a front-axle lift system, complementing the car’s upgraded aerodynamics.
Inside, the 3LT cabin features heated and ventilated Competition Sport seats upholstered in black leather, Callaway door sill plates, bespoke floor mats, billet pedals, a serialized console plaque identifying it as the first B2K 35th Anniversary Edition produced, and etched anniversary graphics on the rear window. Premium amenities include an 8-inch infotainment system, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, a configurable 12-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, dual-zone climate control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a power-retractable hardtop.
