FOR SALE: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe 327/360 Fuelie

One of 2,610 fuel-injected Corvettes produced for 1963

The 1963 Split Window Coupe remains one of the most iconic Corvettes ever built, requiring little introduction among collectors and enthusiasts. Conceived by Bill Mitchell’s GM design team, its dramatic split rear window design was offered for just a single model year, cementing its place as a defining chapter in Corvette history.

Equally celebrated is the 360-horsepower RPO L84 fuel-injected 327-cubic-inch V8, an engine that gave America’s Sports Car the performance credentials to challenge elite European rivals on the world stage.

Among the 2,610 fuel-injected Corvettes produced for 1963, an estimated 1,300 were split-window coupes, making this example especially significant. Its rarity is elevated further as one of only 651 cars equipped with the desirable 4.56 Positraction rear axle.

Currently listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this highly specified Split Window Coupe retains its matching-numbers 327/360-horsepower fuel-injected V8, original four-speed manual transmission, and factory 4.56 Positraction rear end. Finished in Ermine White over a red vinyl interior, the car is fitted with 15-inch steel wheels featuring spinner-style hubcaps, concealed headlights, and a Delco AM radio.

Beyond its specification and originality, this Corvette carries an impressive history of recognition. It earned NCRS Top Flight honors at regional events held in Atlanta in 1992, Asheville in 1993, and Bowling Green in 1999. The sale also includes an NCRS Performance Verification award presented at the 1993 Southeast Regional meet, further underscoring the car’s authenticity and distinguished standing among America’s most collectible Corvettes.
