FOR SALE: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Split-Window Coupe

Custom built by Jeff Hayes Customs of Bloomington, Indiana

Now listed on Bring a Trailer is a beautifully crafted custom 1963 split-window Corvette, built by Jeff Hayes and driven just 476 miles since its completion. Far exceeding factory performance, it’s powered by a 6.2L LS3 GM V8 producing 500 horsepower, paired with Holley electronic fuel injection and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Famous for its distinctive split rear window—an iconic design exclusive to the 1963 model year—the Sting Ray coupe remains one of the most coveted and valuable classic Corvettes. This second-generation platform is also prized for its customization potential, and this frame-off custom build showcases that flexibility to an exceptional degree.

Finished in Gun Metal Gray, the car rides on a custom chassis featuring C6 front suspension and a C5 rear setup, complemented by power rack-and-pinion steering. Stopping power comes from four-wheel drilled and ventilated disc brakes, equipped with a Wilwood master cylinder, red 6-piston front calipers, and Z06 rear brakes.

Inside, the cabin is wrapped in distressed red leather with custom bolstered bucket seats. The driver is greeted by a Billet Specialties tilt steering column and wheel, along with AutoMeter analog gauges highlighted by bright bezels and brushed metal faces with black dials.

Additional features include tinted windows, air conditioning, power windows, an AM/FM radio, and a rear-view camera. The car is also equipped with Z06 Spyder wheels fitted with redline tires, a side exhaust, chrome bumpers, and Z06 Spyder wheels fitted with redline tires.
