Customizing A Corvette C8 And Turning It Into A True Masterpiece

The C7 had pushed the front-engine platform to its limits, but the introduction of the C8 marked a new chapter in Corvette performance. It boasts a formidable 6.2L V-8 engine, known as the LT2, delivering 495 HP at 6,450 RPM and 470 lb-ft of torque at 5,150, paired with a new Tremec 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission tailored for the C8. With the LT2, the 2020 Corvette achieves 60 MPH in just 2.8 seconds, further enhanced by the optional Z51 Performance Package.

The Z51 package, designed for track performance, is distinguished by its Carbon Flash aerodynamic features, including a front splitter, high rear spoiler, and rocker extensions. It includes upgraded disc brakes with bright red calipers, a more aggressive suspension system featuring Magnetic Ride Control, a special dual-mode performance exhaust, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted on 19- and 20-inch Trident five-spoke Sterling Silver painted wheels. Additionally, it incorporates an electronic limited-slip differential with a performance axle ratio and heavy-duty cooling.

The AutotopiaLA YouTube channel is always known for putting the spotlight on American “pro touring” & “restomod” builds. But in this video, they are going to make an exception as they talk about a C8 Corvette with the Z51 package that features a wide array of customizations and modifications.
