There’s Not Much Hiding Here

In almost all spy photos of the C8 Corvette, there has been some type of black cladding or covering for certain parts of the car. Well, Car and Driver’s spy photographer recently spent some time around GM’s Proving Grounds and was able to snag some images that show more of the C8 Corvette then has been seen before.

KP Photography managed to snag some wonderful images. Due to the copyright nature of the images, we don’t want to show them all here. Car and Driver should get the credit where credit is due, so you can view all of the images over at Car and Driver’s website.

As you can probably tell, there’s more of the front fascia and front bumper showing than seen before. The front bumper design is much like the renderings, especially the one from Motor Trend and the most recent from the MidEngine Corvette Forum user ZoraC2.

There also appears to be some type of black material along many of the body panels, so you can see the lines and creases better than you can in other spy shots. You can also see the unique five spoke design of the wheels, which is absolutely gorgeous. The rear, too, appears to be similar to what the folks doing all the recent renderings had in mind. Car and Driver points out that the protruding exhaust tips likely will be altered for the production car. These images have just ignited new excitement for us about the C8, July can’t come fast enough.
