Listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 represents the ultimate factory evolution of the sixth-generation Corvette and one of the most technically advanced American performance cars of its era. Showing just 2,400 miles, the ZR1 was purchased new by its current owner and is finished in Jetstream Blue over an Ebony leather interior.
Power comes from a supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8, an aluminum-block engine engineered specifically for the ZR1. Its dry-sump lubrication system, rotocast high-flow cylinder heads, forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, micro-alloy steel crankshaft, and 2.3-liter Roots-style four-lobe supercharger combine to produce 638 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential.
The C6 ZR1 distinguished itself from the contemporary Corvette Z06 through more aggressive bodywork and extensive lightweight construction. Carbon fiber was used for the roof, hood, front fenders, front splitter, and rocker moldings, while a prominent hood bulge incorporates a polycarbonate window that exposes the supercharger beneath. Larger fender vents further identify the ZR1, complemented here by a body-colored rear spoiler and polished quad-exit Corsa exhaust.
Chassis hardware includes Magnetic Selective Ride Control and Brembo ceramic-composite brakes, with blue six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers positioned behind staggered 19-inch and 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Xenon headlights complete the exterior specification.
Inside, the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group brings extensive leather trim, a Bose seven-speaker audio system, navigation, and a power-telescoping steering column.
