The National Corvette Museum Experience Delivery is a personalized celebration available to owners of any Corvette generation, complete with professional detailing, commemorative photos, time on Corvette Boulevard, a guided Museum tour, exclusive gifts, and memories that last long after the drive home. And sometimes, the Corvette arriving for its celebration has a story that makes the occasion even more special.
Meet Bob, a GM mechanic with more than 43 years of experience and a lifelong love of Corvettes, who rescued a 2014 Corvette convertible that had spent years hidden beneath tarps, battling nature’s worst, and even lawn chairs, through the diverse Canadian seasons. The Velocity Yellow C7, owned by Bob’s uncle, took a turn for the worse when he sadly developed dementia and never truly had the opportunity to enjoy it. After his uncle passed away, Bob purchased the Corvette from the estate and gave the dormant C7 a new lease on life. His wife, Laurie, added the perfect finishing touch by surprising him with personalized plates and the fitting name “HIDN GEM.” Last month, Bob and Laurie brought their Ontario treasure all the way to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where HIDN GEM finally received the celebration it had been waiting for—a Museum Experience Delivery at the home of America’s Sports Car.
