The final-generation C6 Corvette remains particularly significant among modern American performance cars, and the 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible represents one of its most compelling combinations of power, rarity, and open-air driving. This example, currently offered on Bring a Trailer, has covered just 1,200 miles from new and was ordered and purchased by its original owner.
Built for the Corvette’s 60th anniversary, the car is one of approximately 1,088 examples fitted with the 60th Anniversary Design Package. It wears 60th Anniversary Arctic White over a Diamond Blue leather interior and is notable for being specified without the package’s traditional exterior stripes. Anniversary-specific badging, Z06-style carbon-fiber front fenders, and a ZR1-inspired rear spoiler give the convertible a distinctly purposeful appearance.
The car also benefits from the CFZ Carbon Package, which adds a raised carbon-fiber hood and carbon-fiber sill extensions. A dark blue power-operated soft top complements the exterior, while chrome 19-inch front and 20-inch rear ZR-1 multi-spoke wheels are fitted with Michelin tires. Magnetorheological suspension provides electronically controlled damping, while cross-drilled and ventilated discs supply braking performance at all four corners.
At the center of the 427 Convertible is Chevrolet’s naturally aspirated 7.0-liter LS7 V8. Derived from the engine used in the C6 Z06, the dry-sump V8 produces 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, delivering its power through a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. The combination makes the 427 Convertible one of the last naturally aspirated, three-pedal Corvettes built before the C7 generation arrived.
Inside, Diamond Blue leather covers heated, power-adjustable bucket seats featuring 60th Anniversary embroidery. A head-up display, navigation, Bose audio, automatic climate control, Keyless Access, push-button start, cruise control, and driver-seat memory provide considerable equipment alongside the car’s performance hardware.
With only 1,200 miles, a clean Carfax report, and its original-owner history, this Corvette offers an unusually preserved example of Chevrolet’s LS7-powered C6 formula. It combines anniversary-edition collectability with the mechanical purity of a high-revving naturally aspirated V8, rear-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual gearbox.
