The 2024 Corvette

The 655-hp E-Ray joined the Stingray and Z06 as Corvette’s first hybrid and all-wheel-drive model, reaching 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Production totaled 42,934, while the Z06 GT3.R scored its first win at Mosport.

The E-Ray’s front wheels and rear wheels are driven by two separate systems that never touch: the LT2 V-8 and the dual-clutch drive the rears, a 160-horsepower electric motor over the front axle drives the fronts, and the car’s computers keep the two in step. There is no plug — the 1.9-kWh battery charges from the engine and from braking — and in Stealth Mode the E-Ray leaves the driveway on the front motor alone at up to 45 mph, the first Corvette that could move without its engine running. 1,417 were built in the first year, 818 of them convertibles.

When Chevrolet unveiled the C8-generation Corvette Z06 for the 2023 model year, it marked a dramatic shift in America’s sports car legacy. The front-engine Vette was gone. In its place stood a mid-engine machine, bred with tech from Corvette Racing and powered by the highest-horsepower naturally aspirated V8 ever dropped into a production car. For 2024, that same formula continues with no major updates, no need for one. The Z06 remains a visceral, high-revving anomaly in an era of downsizing and forced induction. =

While it’s still unmistakably a C8 Corvette, the 2024 E‑Ray redefines what the nameplate stands for. For the first time in its 70-year history, Chevrolet’s sports car icon pairs its signature V8 roar with electric torque and all-wheel-drive grip. The result? A 655-hp hybrid supercar that launches like a missile and offers everyday practicality. With its stealth EV mode, advanced hybrid systems, and broad-shouldered Z06 bodywork, the E‑Ray brings electrification to the party without compromising soul or excitement.
Designed for the 2024 racing season to compete in the GT3 category, Corvette Z06 GT3.R will soon join a family of long-standing victors on the track. This track-only race car will be the first that Chevrolet offers to both pro and amateur teams. Although based on the design of the street-friendly Corvette Z06 and its 5.5L engine, the GT3.R won’t be street legal. The track-only race car will be modified with racing-specific equipment and will comply with FIA regulations.

2024 Corvette E-Ray

Chevrolet gave the Corvette a hybrid for its seventieth birthday. Revealed on January 17, 2023 — seventy years after the 1953 car’s Motorama debut — the E-Ray was the first hybrid and the first all-wheel-drive Corvette, and it was built for speed rather than economy: the Stingray’s 495-horsepower LT2 and eight-speed dual-clutch drive the rear wheels, a 160-horsepower, 125-lb-ft permanent-magnet motor over the front axle drives the fronts, and a 1.9-kWh lithium-ion battery in the tunnel between the seats, charged by the engine and by regenerative braking with no plug, feeds it. Together they make 655 horsepower and, by GM’s figures, 2.5 seconds to 60 mph, 10.5 seconds at 130 in the quarter and 1.1 g — a tenth quicker than the Z06 in a straight line — from a 3,774-pound coupe (3,856 convertible) in the Z06’s 3.6-inch-wider body on its 20 x 10 and 21 x 13-inch wheels, with 15.7 and 15.4-inch carbon-ceramic Brembos and FE5 Magnetic Ride 4.0 standard and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 ZP tires, the first all-seasons on a Corvette; the $500 ZER package brought Pilot Sport 4S summer tires and the FED suspension, and the carbon aero, carbon-fiber wheels and an Electric Blue stripe were options. Stealth Mode drives on the motor alone to 45 mph until the battery is spent, Charge+ fills it for a track session, and an E-Ray Performance App on the screen shows the two power sources at work. It was announced at $104,295 for a 1LZ coupe, confirmed at $104,495 in July 2023 and raised to $106,595 ($113,595 convertible) on October 2 before the first car was built; production began on the night of December 11, 2023, two months behind schedule, ran a handful a day through the winter, and reached 1,417 in the model year — 599 coupes and 818 convertibles, 977 of them 3LZs, 874 with ZER, 33 right-hand drive. VIN 001 brought $1.1 million for DonorsChoose from Rick Hendrick at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach in April 2023, and an Arctic White 3LZ coupe paced the Indianapolis 500 on May 26, 2024. The E-Ray has depreciated faster than the Z06 — Classic.com’s benchmark was $98,131 in October 2026 — which makes it the quickest Corvette per dollar there has been.

2024 Corvette Z06

The Z06’s second model year was its first full one, and Bowling Green built 10,575 — 5,327 coupes and 5,248 convertibles, almost even after the convertible had outsold the coupe in 2023 — against 6,413 in the sixteen months before. Nothing changed under the skin: the 5.5-liter LT6 at 670 horsepower and 8,600 rpm, the 5.56 axle, the wide body, the 20 and 21-inch forged wheels, the Z07 package at $8,995 with its carbon aero ($8,495 or $10,495), Cup 2 R tires, FE7 suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes, which 2,715 took (26 percent, down from 29) while another 1,538 had the carbon-ceramics alone and 2,634 the aero without Z07. What was new was on the order guide: the three new colors and Carbon Flash Metallic on every trim, the 70th Anniversary visible-carbon wheels with the red stripe as a regular $13,500 option (287 Z06s), a visible-carbon-fiber LT6 engine cover, spoiler extensions and rear hash graphics with the Jake logo, the Tech Bronze accent package, the Artemis Dipped interior (55 Z06s) and the standard driver-assistance features — and the price, $109,695 for a 1LZ coupe in July 2023 and $111,795 from October 2 ($118,795 to $132,345 for the convertibles), with GM’s sheet now calling the car 1YH instead of 1YD. 7,663 of the 10,575 were 3LZs, 295 were right-hand drive and 510 were delivered at the Museum. The 2024 was also the year the Z06 market settled: the early-2023 markups were gone, the LT6 campaign was behind the car, and a 2024 Z06 now trades at its sticker or a little under — Classic.com’s 2024 benchmark was $134,723 in October 2026.

2024 Corvette Z06 GT3.R

The Z06 GT3.R replaced the C8.R for 2024 and changed what Corvette Racing was. Revealed at Daytona on January 27, 2023 and built by Pratt Miller around the production Z06’s structure, it was the first Corvette race car built to the international GT3 rules and the first sold to customers: a 5.5-liter LT6.R rated at 500 horsepower for the World Endurance Championship and up to 600 for IMSA, an Xtrac six-speed sequential transaxle, a 2,733-pound homologation weight and more production parts — the aluminum frame, the bodywork, the engine architecture — than any Corvette racer before it. General Motors had ended the factory program after 2023, so Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports ran the Nos. 3 and 4 in IMSA’s GTD Pro class with Chevrolet’s engineering support and its drivers, AWA ran the first customer car (No. 13) in GTD after its second entry withdrew, TF Sport took the Nos. 81 and 82 to the WEC’s new LMGT3 class, and more went to GT World Challenge America. The first season was a learning year with one highlight: fifth at the Rolex 24 after the No. 3 led 118 laps, podiums at Laguna Seca (No. 4), Watkins Glen and Indianapolis, and on July 14, 2024 the car’s first win — Garcia and Sims from pole at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, 109 of 113 laps led, Milner and Catsburg 0.4 seconds behind for a Corvette one-two. The Pratt Miller cars finished fifth and sixth in the GTD Pro points and Corvette third of the manufacturers; TF Sport brought both cars home at Le Mans (eleventh and fifteenth in class) and finished second and third at Bahrain; across the series the Z06 GT3.R won eleven races in 2024. In 2025 it won the IMSA GTD Pro drivers’, team and manufacturer championships and the European Le Mans Series LMGT3 titles with TF Sport.

What is the 2024 Corvette E-Ray?

The first hybrid and the first all-wheel-drive Corvette, revealed on January 17, 2023 — the seventieth anniversary of the 1953 Corvette’s Motorama debut — and built from December 11, 2023. The Stingray’s 495-horsepower 6.2-liter LT2 and eight-speed dual-clutch drive the rear wheels; a 160-horsepower, 125-lb-ft electric motor over the front axle drives the fronts, fed by a 1.9-kWh battery between the seats that charges from the engine and from braking (no plug); together they make 655 horsepower, and GM quotes 2.5 seconds to 60 mph and 10.5 seconds at 130 mph in the quarter — the quickest Corvette there had been. It uses the Z06’s wide body, wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes with Magnetic Ride standard, rides on all-season tires (summer tires with the $500 ZER package), can run on the motor alone to 45 mph in Stealth Mode, weighs 3,774 pounds dry, and cost $106,595 as a 1LZ coupe. 1,417 were built in the model year.

What was new on the 2024 Corvette Stingray and Z06?

Three colors — Riptide Blue Metallic, Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat ($995) and Cacti Green — replaced Elkhart Lake Blue, White Pearl and Caffeine; Carbon Flash Metallic, the 2023 70th Anniversary color, went on every trim; an Artemis Dipped green interior was offered for 2024 only (210 cars); a Tech Bronze accent package, Jake hood and hash graphics, visible-carbon sill plates, a windowed convertible tonneau, two new Stingray wheel designs and a two-stanchion visible-carbon spoiler, the 70th Anniversary red-stripe carbon wheels and a visible-carbon LT6 cover for the Z06 were added; forward-collision alert, lane-keep assist, following-distance indicator and automatic high beams became standard; and prices rose in July and again in October 2023. Mechanically both cars were unchanged, and the Z06’s model code changed from 1YD to 1YH.

Did the 2024 Corvette pace the Indianapolis 500?

Yes: a 2024 Corvette E-Ray — an Arctic White 3LZ coupe with a Natural interior, visible-carbon-fiber wheels and the standard all-season tires, with Indy 500 door graphics and a red-and-white E-RAY hood graphic — paced the 108th Indianapolis 500 on May 26, 2024, driven by Ken Griffey Jr., the twenty-first Corvette pace car since 1978 and the eighth year in a row. The 2023 race had been paced by a Red Mist 2023 Z06 convertible and the 2022 race by a 2023 Z06 70th Anniversary coupe. No pace-car edition was sold.

How did Corvette Racing do in 2024?

It was the first season without the factory team and the first for the Z06 GT3.R, the customer car built to international GT3 rules. Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports ran two in IMSA’s GTD Pro class with Chevrolet’s support: the No. 3 of Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims finished fifth at the Rolex 24 after leading 118 laps, took podiums at Laguna Seca (the No. 4 of Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg), Watkins Glen and Indianapolis, and won the car’s first race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on July 14, 2024 from pole, leading 109 of 113 laps, with the No. 4 second; the two cars finished fifth and sixth in the points and Corvette third among the manufacturers. AWA ran the first customer car in GTD, TF Sport took two to the World Endurance Championship’s LMGT3 class and finished both at Le Mans and second and third at Bahrain, and Z06 GT3.Rs won eleven races across the series. In 2025 Pratt Miller won the GTD Pro drivers’, team and manufacturer titles.

How much is a 2024 Corvette worth today?

Classic.com’s benchmark for the C8 E-Ray was $98,131 in October 2026: Bring a Trailer sold a 9,000-mile 2024 3LZ for $103,000 in August 2026 and a modified one for $89,000 in October, and dealers ask $91,550 to $120,000 — under the $106,595–$124,545 they cost new, and the cheapest 2024 recorded sold for $83,500. The 2024 Z06 benchmark was $134,723, with 3LZ coupes selling between $119,900 and $127,292 and dealers asking $106,000 to $145,000. The 2024 Stingray asks $57,721 to $84,991 at dealers, most between $60,000 and $78,000 by trim, and renders no benchmark. None of the three carries a markup now; the Artemis interior, the Tech Bronze package and the ZER E-Rays are the cars with a premium ahead of them. Check whether a buyer’s premium is included in any auction price you compare.
