The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport marks the return of one of the Corvette’s most celebrated performance nameplates, reimagined for the C8 generation. Drawing inspiration from the original Grand Sport that emerged in the 1960s under the direction of Zora Arkus-Duntov and Chevrolet’s engineering team, the new model is designed to combine distinctive heritage with substantially upgraded performance.
At its core, the Grand Sport pairs the C8’s wider Z06-derived bodywork with a newly developed 6.7-liter LS6 pushrod V8. Producing 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, the engine represents a meaningful step beyond the 2026 Stingray’s output. Chevrolet complements the additional power with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, revised fueling that combines direct and port injection, a larger 95-mm throttle body, a 13:1 compression ratio, and an updated Performance Traction Management system. The chassis is equally focused. Standard carbon-ceramic brake rotors are paired with six-piston Brembo calipers at the front and four-piston units at the rear, while staggered forged aluminum wheels accommodate wide Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Magnetic Ride Control further adapts suspension behavior to changing road and track conditions, while an electronic limited-slip differential helps maximize traction.
Visually, the Grand Sport pays tribute to its predecessors with Admiral Blue paint, a contrasting white racing stripe, red interior, and distinctive Grand Sport graphics. The C8’s wide stance, large cooling intakes, functional aerodynamic elements, and central quad-exhaust layout reinforce its performance-oriented character. Inside, the cabin combines red leather and Alcantara with carbon-fiber and dark-metallic trim, a 12.9-inch infotainment display, digital instrumentation, head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, and a heated steering wheel.
