The Story of White
White is what Chevrolet called Classic White from 1980, and it was the biggest-selling color of the last C3s — 7,780 cars in 1980 — and the third color of the C4 behind Bright Red and Black. The 1988 35th Anniversary Edition was white over black, 2,050 coupes with white wheels and a white interior, the most elaborate white Corvette ever built.
Arctic White replaced it for 1993. The name returned once, on the 2023 70th Anniversary Edition, whose White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat (3,653 cars) was the first pearl white on a Corvette. The site’s 1980–84 picture posts are titled Classic White; the chart name was White.
