The Story of Millennium Yellow
Millennium Yellow was new for 2000 at $500 extra and became the color of the C5 Z06 when that car arrived for 2001 — the launch cars, the magazine covers, 3,887 Corvettes in 2001 and 4,040 in 2002. It cost $600, then $750, and ran through the first C6 year of 2005 before Velocity Yellow took over.
It is a tintcoat: a yellow base under a tinted clear, which is why it is deeper than the solid yellows before it. The misspelling Milenium is so common in listings that the site’s own picture posts use it; the chart name has two l’s and two n’s.
