The Z06 Sounds Awesome

Ever since the C8 Corvette Stingray debuted, the new Corvette Z06 has been in people’s minds and a big part of the conversation. According to new reports, we are now starting to get some of the details about this new car.

The Z06 will be available with a set of optional carbon fiber wheels. It will also come standard with Michelin Pilot Cup 2 R tires. Those tires will measure 275/30 ZR20 at the front and 345/25 ZR21 at the rear. These are the same tires as are on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, according to Carscoops.

Additionally, the car will get active aerodynamic elements, which should include things like an adjustable wing and front splitter. There could even be some side flaps that deploy when braking and cornering. In the past Chevrolet has patented some active aero solutions and it sounds like those patents could finally be seen in real life on the new Z06, according to Muscle Cars and Trucks.

There’s also supposedly a new exhaust system in the works. This new exhaust may have a central exit instead of a dual exit to either side of the rear fascia. While not all the details are clear at this time. It’s cool to finally get some new information about the upcoming Z06.
